Cheh Cheh

This is Cheh Cheh Nanik. She is from Indonesia and she joined our family in Oct 2006. Since then, she has washed, cooked, sewn, cleaned, etc for me and my family. When time permits, she would also play my toys with me. A month ago, she decided to return home to be with her family when her contract expires - which is today. Since grandma was away in Japan for the week, Cheh Cheh packed up all her things and has been staying with us for the past six days.
Dad & mum took leave and we sent her to the airport. There, she found out that her bags were 18kg in excess weight. She expected it as family and family friends gave her clothes, bags, toys, electrical appliances (sandwich maker & hairdryer) and shoes! She even bought peanut butter to bring home! Mum almost fainted while helping her pack. However, she was delighted to bring all the things home as she would be able to share with her family and her neighbours. She comes from a village that is five hours away from the Surabaya airport. Her parents and her brother left their home at 8am this morning to drive to the airport to wait for her. After she arrives at 2pm, they would drive another five hours home. She has been a good and diligent help for the past two years and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours :)
